Antique gold brooch made from a worn bonnet bell. This is a unique piece of jewelry from the Dutch traditional costume period around 1900. The bonnet bell was attached to an undercap, which was worn on Sundays with Sunday clothes. Nowadays, almost no one wears such a bonnet anymore, but the bonnet bell is a beautifully detailed piece of jewelry. That's why they are now made into brooches, among other things. The frame is detailed with filigree techniques and has a crown at the top. Tassels hang at the bottom. A beautiful piece. The brooch is made of 14-karat yellow gold (585/1000).
