The Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute (Ref. D12022) is a remarkable and historic model within the famous Navitimer collection by Breitling. The Cosmonaute version is known for its 24-hour dial, specially developed for astronauts and pilots operating in conditions where day and night cannot be clearly distinguished (the hands rotate once every 24 hours).

The origins of this model trace back to the 1960s when astronaut Scott Carpenter wore a customized Navitimer during the Mercury-Atlas 7 mission. Since then, the Cosmonaute has become an iconic variant within the Navitimer line.

This example from 1994 is an early vintage version, executed in an elegant bicolor combination of steel and yellow gold. This configuration was produced in relatively low numbers, making the watch a desirable rarity among collectors of vintage Breitling models.

The case has a diameter of 41.5mm, giving the watch a classic Navitimer appearance. This example is in very good condition, surprisingly so, with a beautiful vintage look.

Inside, it houses the beautiful Breitling Caliber B12, based on the legendary Lemania 1873 manual winding movement. This movement is known for its reliability and is appreciated by connoisseurs for its historical connection to classic chronographs. This movement has been fully serviced and tested, working excellently and very accurately.
