Gold fantasy/anchor link necklace. The necklace is by Carrera y Carrera. The anchor link consists of two links reminiscent of an anchor chain; in this version, a longer link is placed every three smaller links. The chain is suitable for a small to medium-sized pendant. The piece is made of 18-karat yellow gold (750/1000). Carrera y Carrera was founded by Saturio Esteban Carrera in 1885, after he emigrated to Madrid. He never imagined it would grow into one of the world's leading jewelers. In 1960, they were commissioned to create the tiara for the wedding of King Baudouin of Belgium and the Spanish Fabiola of Mora y Aragón. They eventually exhibited at several major exhibitions of the biggest jewelry and watch brands, which led to their discovery. Their first international success was the Bonadea collection, also known as Las Manos (Hands). Their jewelry is heavily animal-based and fundamentally feminine. This began in 1978.
