A gold brooch made from two bonnet bells. The bonnet bells are soldered together and detailed with pearl thread. The brooch is crafted from 14-karat yellow gold (585/1000). The bonnet bell is a unique piece of jewelry from the Dutch traditional costume period around 1900. It was attached to an undercap, which was worn on Sundays with Sunday clothes. Nowadays, almost no one wears such a bonnet anymore, but the bonnet bell is a beautifully detailed piece of jewelry. That's why they are now made into brooches, among other things.
