Antique gold pendant of a detailed bonnet bell. The bonnet bell is a unique piece of jewelry from the Dutch traditional costume period around 1900. The bonnet bell was attached to an undercap, which was worn on Sundays with Sunday clothes. Nowadays, almost no one wears such a bonnet anymore, but the bonnet bell is a beautifully detailed piece of jewelry. The pendant is crafted using a filigree technique. This is a technique in which very fine wire is used to create lace-like patterns. For this reason, it is now used for making pendants, among other things. A beautiful piece of jewelry with a history.
