The IWC Big Pilot is inspired by the historical B-Uhr pilot watches that IWC produced for the German air force in the 1940s. Despite its size, the watch has a subdued and sleek design that symbolizes the practical functionality of classic pilot watches. The matte black dial is designed with clarity and readability in mind. Large, white Arabic numerals and hands with Super-LumiNova ensure that the watch is easily readable even in the dark.
The design is minimalist, without unnecessary complications, and emphasizes the precision and simplicity that are essential for a pilot's watch. Another feature of the Big Pilot watches is the oversized crown, inspired by vintage pilot watches, enabling pilots to wind the watch easily, even while wearing gloves.
The IWC Big Pilot is powered by the in-house produced IWC caliber 51110. This is an automatic mechanical movement known for its exceptional reliability and accuracy. This beautiful movement has a power reserve of 168 hours! The movement is equipped with the Pellaton winding system, an advanced mechanism that ensures efficient energy transfer to the mainspring. This system is exclusively developed by IWC and is known for its durability and precision.
This watch comes on a brand new IWC brown crocodile leather strap (receipt present for €480) and additionally a black IWC crocodile strap in like-new condition. Two straps, two options! Both are included for this price.
