The IWC Big Pilot is inspired by the historical B-Uhr pilot watches that IWC produced in the 1940s for the German Air Force. Despite its size, the watch has a restrained and sleek design that symbolizes the practical functionality of classic pilot watches. The matte black dial is designed with clarity and readability in mind. Large, white Arabic numerals and hands with Super-LumiNova ensure that the watch is legible even in the dark.
The design is minimalist, without unnecessary complications, emphasizing the precision and simplicity that are essential for a pilot's watch. Another feature of the Big Pilot watches is the raised crown, inspired by vintage pilot watches, allowing pilots to easily wind the watch even while wearing gloves.
The IWC Big Pilot is powered by the in-house produced IWC caliber 51110. This is an automatic mechanical movement known for its exceptional reliability and accuracy. This stunning movement has a power reserve of 168 hours! The movement is equipped with the Pellaton winding system, an advanced mechanism that ensures efficient energy transfer to the mainspring. This system was exclusively developed by IWC and is known for its durability and precision.
This watch comes with a brand new brown IWC crocodile leather strap (receipt available for €480) and also a black IWC crocodile strap in like-new condition. Two straps, two options! Both are included at this price.
