The IWC Porsche Design Ocean 2000 is undoubtedly one of the most iconic dive watches of the 1980s. Designed by the legendary Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the creator of the Porsche 911, and technically developed by IWC Schaffhausen. The result was a revolutionary watch that was ahead of its time.

This piece has reference number IW3241 and was directly purchased from a German collector. That makes it not only a well-preserved watch, but also one with a lovely provenance. It is especially noteworthy that it comes as a full-set from 1988. A fully preserved example with all accessories, unpolished, with beautifully aged tritium, is extremely rare and increasingly hard to find.

The Ocean 2000 was a technical marvel at the time. The ultra-light titanium case and bracelet were revolutionary in an era when most dive watches were still made of steel. Thanks to its minimalist design, excellent readability, and professional dive specifications, the model quickly grew into an icon within the watch world.

Inside is a high-quality IWC automatic Swiss movement Cal. 375, known for its reliability and accurate performance. The movement has been thoroughly checked and runs smoothly and accurately.

The original IWC titanium bracelet is also in excellent condition. The bracelet fits wrists up to approximately 19cm when all links are used. Additionally, it comes with the original IWC nylon strap with a special titanium endlink for quick changes. This strap is even mentioned in the IWC documentation that comes with it!
