In honor of Minerva's 160th anniversary, the Montblanc 1858 Geosphere honors the heroes of mountaineering with a professional and innovative timepiece. You might be wondering what Minerva has to do with Montblanc. Montblanc purchased the entire Minerva factory and rights in 2007. This unique watch, designed for those who travel the world in their eternal quest for discovery, expresses respect for true mountaineers, as it is dedicated to the "Seven Summits Challenge," the holy grail of climbers. On the dial, the seven world summits are marked with red dots on two rotating globes and are also engraved on the caseback. The timepiece features a new world time complication, developed by Montblanc watchmakers in Villeret: two spherical globes, rotating in opposite directions, completing one revolution in 24 hours. Both are surrounded by a scale showing the 24 time zones, along with a day and night indicator in contrasting colors. This provides an intuitive way to appreciate the different time zones, aided by SuperLumiNova® applied to the continents for better nighttime visibility. This watch features a pleasant 42mm case that, despite its classic design, has a modern size and is sure to stand out. A comfortable size for almost everyone.
