This Omega Chronostop, reference number 145.009, is a beautiful vintage piece from the 1960s. This model from 1968 has a distinctive character and showcases exactly what Omega was known for during that period: innovation, simplicity, and reliability.

What is immediately noticeable is the original condition of this watch. The case is unpolished and retains the original factory-finish, something that is becoming increasingly rare in vintage watches. This gives the watch an authentic appearance. The Omega signed plexiglass is completely original and has a few minor spots on the glass that are not very noticeable, but should be mentioned. With a case size of 35mm x 39mm, this watch wears comfortably and timelessly.

The Chronostop function, a unique, easy-to-operate chronograph, makes this model slightly different from classic chronographs of the same era. Additionally, the blue dial truly stands out.

Inside lies the reliable Omega Caliber 865 manual movement. This caliber is a direct descendant of the movement used in Speedmaster Moonwatch watches and is known for its high reliability and excellent accuracy. For this movement, nothing less than perfect timing (amplitude 270 degrees) within Chronometer standards is acceptable.

This example from around 1968 is in very good and unpolished condition, which means that the original finishing has been fully preserved, with sharp lines and clean lugs. An important detail for enthusiasts and collectors, showcasing the beautiful vintage state of this watch.

The original Omega steel bracelet with reference number 1286/249 is in exceptionally good condition, wears comfortably, and fits wrists up to approximately 19cm. If you prefer the watch on a leather strap, that can easily be swapped for a high-quality leather strap (Moratello/RIOS), and we will gladly keep this bracelet in our collection.
