This Omega Chronostop, reference number 145.009, is a beautiful vintage piece from the 1960s. This model from 1968 has a distinctive character and showcases exactly what Omega was known for during that period: innovation, simplicity, and reliability.

What is immediately noticeable is the original condition of this watch. The case is unpolished and retains the original factory-finish, a rarity for vintage watches. This gives the watch an authentic appearance. The Omega signed plexiglass is completely original and has some small spots on the glass that are not very noticeable, but worth mentioning. With a case size of 35mm x 39mm, this watch wears comfortably and timelessly.

The Chronostop function, a unique, easily operated chronograph, makes this model stand out compared to classical chronographs from the same era. Additionally, the blue dial truly jumps out.

Inside is the proven Omega Caliber 865 manual movement. This caliber is a direct descendant of the movement used in Speedmaster Moonwatch watches and is known for its high reliability and excellent accuracy. For this movement, nothing less than perfect running values (amplitude of 270 degrees) and very accurate within chronometer standards.

This example from around 1968 is in very good and unpolished condition, meaning that the original finish has been fully preserved, with sharp lines and clean lugs. An important detail for enthusiasts and collectors, and thus showcases the beautiful vintage state of this watch.

The original Omega steel bracelet with reference number 1286/249 is in exceptionally good condition, wears comfortably, and fits wrists up to approximately 19cm. If you prefer the watch on a leather strap, it can be exchanged for a high-quality leather strap (Moratello/RIOS), and we would be happy to keep this bracelet in our collection.
